Dog lovers around New England will have the chance to come together to celebrate their canine friends at Canine Carnivale. Hosted by the York County Kennel Club of Maine, this vibrant, mini festival is a testament to the joy, companionship, and loyalty that dogs bring to our lives. Whether you’re new to dog shows or a dedicated canine handler, Canine Carnivale offers something for everyone.
Highlights of our Festival
The Canine Carnivale began as a small community event in the late 20th century, organized by a group of dog enthusiasts who wanted to honor their pets in a fun and festive way. Over the years, it has grown into a global celebration, attracting participants from all walks of life.
On May 16 & 17, 2026, the York County Kennel Club of Maine is proud to bring this tradition to New England. The overall popularity of these festivals is a testimonial to the universal love for dogs, the sports they excel in, and the important role they play in our lives!
Dog Show
Our festival’s main feature is our Annual Conformation Dog Show where canines compete for titles in various categories such as Best in Show and Best Owner-Handled In Show. Dog shows provide a platform for breeders and owners to showcase their dog’s conformation and movement.
Special Attractions
For those who wish to fill some time after the Breed Classes, the Special Attractions are a great way to relax and unwind as you wait for the Groups. Whether as an exhibitor or a spectator, these events allow dogs and their humans to forge a stronger bond, to test their working partnership outside of the ring, and to showcase the hidden talents in our canine companions.
Canine Carnivale features a range of activities designed to entertain both dogs and their human companions.
